The prize, named after Mr. Sata Yasuhiko, President of Tokibo Co., Ltd., was designed to encourage and promote the scholarship of young international lawyers. It is open to international lawyers of Asian nationality not over the age of 40 years on the date of deadline. The article can be on any topic in the fields of public or private international law, and range between 8,000 and 14,000 words in length, not including footnotes. The deadline is 1 August 2009.
